money conversations for women who lead

Time is the one asset none of us can top up later, yet for many women, our own financial planning is often the thing we put off while we take care of everyone else first.

Regardless of whether you’re just beginning to accumulate wealth, navigating joint finances, managing a mortgage, a growing family, or facing the prospect of retirement, the questions remain the same: Am I making the right decisions with my money? Am I financially secure — for myself, and for the people who depend on me?

The numbers tell us why this conversation can’t wait. Women in Australia retire with around 25% less superannuation than men, a gap that widens through the very years many of us are raising kids, managing shared securities, or running businesses. Only 33% of women feel very confident making financial decisions, compared to 50% of men – and nearly half of women say they have no retirement plan at all or don’t know what they’ll need. Add to that a pay gap that costs the average woman over $12,000 a year, and it’s easy to see how “I’ll deal with it later” quietly becomes decades of lost compounding.

That’s exactly why Women Leading is bringing Winance: a judgement-free space, with a glass of something good in hand, to ask the questions we don’t get to ask elsewhere.
